User guide
Maimiao Word Cards helps you turn your own word lists into flashcards for recognition practice, dictation, and review. Teachers can share decks or assign tasks, then review independent deck learning and task progress separately. Students can complete those tasks or practise independently with a deck.
Choose what you want to do now. You do not need to read every guide from beginning to end.
Choose your guide
| What you want to do | Start here | What you will learn |

| Study words from reading, exams, or work | Study on your own | Build personal decks, set a daily new-word amount, and practise and review |
Educational content creators can start with Teach with Maimiao. If you only want to share vocabulary material for now, read through Share a deck and return to assignments when you need them.
Find the right app
Create content in the creator app. A desktop browser is convenient for organising word lists, editing cards, and viewing task reports.
Study in the learner app. Use the web app or a shared WeChat Mini Program link or code. If you received a specific deck, task, or group invitation, start with that link.
Check
A deck holds content for independent practice. A task has required exercises and a deadline. A group invitation adds you to a teacher’s group of students. After joining a group, open a specific task to start learning.

Try a sample list
If you have not prepared your material yet, start with the “Everyday English · 30 Words” Excel sample. It includes words, phonetic transcriptions, meanings, and meaning notes for following the import and card creation steps in the teacher guide.
To split a list into textbook units, try the multi-unit Excel sample. See the multi-unit import instructions for the steps.
Import currently accepts .xlsx files up to 25 MB. Put vocabulary from Word, PDF, or images into Excel first, or add a few items manually.

Check the common questions at the end of the guide for your role first. To contact the developer, use the contact option in the creator app. Explain what you wanted to do, where you got stuck, and the message on the page. Cover names, accounts, and other personal information in screenshots.
